The old man and the sea

Old man and the sea by Ernest Hemingway. Scribner paperback fiction, 1952.
Genre: fiction

A man goes out to sea to catch fish but he doesn't catch anything for a long time but then he sees a marlin and catches it.

Here are some quotes. "It is unsurpassed in Hemingway's oeuvre." No name, Amazon.com reveiwer

I chose this quote because i agree with it. It means that this book is very good and that Hemingway did not make mistakes.

This book is good because it has good dialogue and storyline.

One of the books i've read doesn't have anything to do with the old man and the sea because the book i read was about war.

In the quote “ A man can be destroyed but, not defeated.” pg 38 old man and the sea. I believe this means that even if you don't get what you want at the end of the day there is always another day to try again.

This book affected me because the old man stayed at seas for days to catch something and even when he did it was taken from him, but when he came back to land people weren't mad at him for not catching anything, they were happy for him for trying.

I rate this book 4 paws = pounce on it.
